The AD of the ADDIE learning course framework

Letting your subject matter experts throw their extensive knowledge directly into a development tool bypasses the analysis and design phases of the ADDIE process. Chances are you’ll end up with a course that’s a bit….meh?

Analysis and Design are there for a reason and that’s where I come in. They are my area of expertise, not to mention my favourite parts of a project!

People don’t learn when they’re bored, that’s why we need instructional design

Being the expert on a subject doesn’t necessarily make you the best person to pass on that knowledge.

You need to up your game and design engaging, interactive content that will make your audience so invested in what they’re doing, they won’t even realise they’re learning.

Backed up by learning theory, I’ll use my experience of what eLearning development tools can do to design the best possible experience for your learners.

How does learning design work?

  • Step 1 - project analysis

    to develop a blueprint
To start you’ll get a fully analysed project. I’ll ask you the right questions and use this to develop a project blueprint.
  • Step 2 - high-level course design

    open to edits
Next, I’ll create a high-level design detailing the content, interactions and strategy behind every single element including two rounds of edits.
  • Step 3 - training course storyboard

with all the bells and whistles
Finally, I’ll write fully scripted storyboard including text, voiceover, interactions and images also including two rounds of edits.
  • Step 4 - course development phase

    watch it come to life
Over to you. Hand over your finalised storyboard to your development team and watch your content come to life.
